On Tuesay, May 2nd, #VoteBetterNY, a coalition of concerned citizens and civic groups, heads to Albany for Voter Day.
Voter Day is an annual day of advocacy for statewide voting reform. We'll be urging legislators to take down barriers to voting in New York and to guarantee the right to vote for every eligible New Yorker with the passage of common sense reforms:
1- Early Voting
2- The Voter Empowerment Act
3- NY Votes Act
Learn about our legislative platform at www.VoteBetterNY.org and sign up to come to Albany with us on May 2nd: http://bit.ly/2oEjyi1. NYC Votes will bus all volunteers from New York City to Albany on the day of the event, returning that evening.
We've spent the last 2 months lobbying over 40 state assembly members and senators on AG Schneiderman's package of election reform bills.
At this meeting, we'll report the results of those meetings and discuss strategy for the next month, including participating in a large coalition of election reform-focused groups to keep the pressure on for the remainder of the legislative session.
Organized by Easy Elections coalition parter NYPAN.

Come drink, hang out on Chris' terrace and write postcards! Voter reform needs your help!
Can you only drop by for 15 minutes? We'll take it! That's all it will take for you to fill out a few postcards and help the cause.
