The NYC Board of Elections is responsible for nearly every aspect of NYC elections including maintaining voter data, verifying candidate info, running polling sites, and certifying our votes. It is the gatekeeper to democracy in the 5 boroughs. Yet many of us know very little about who makes up the BOE and how they operate. And in light of concerns about polling site closures, voter purges, low voter turnout, and sharing of voter data with Trump’s election integrity commission, it’s time we learned more about who's overseeing our most fundamental democratic process.
Join the Brooklyn Voters Alliance for a special meeting on elections and voting in NYC featuring City Board of Elections Executive Director Michael Ryan and Assemblyman Bobby Carroll. We know you have questions about how NYC elections are run, and this is a rare opportunity to ask one of the people in charge.
