WElcome to the let ny vote hybrid “all in one” voting machine week of action!
We need to be sure that our representatives know how important it is that the Hybrid “All in One” Voting Machine Ban bill (A.1115c/S.309b) – a 2022 legislative priority – passes both houses of the Legislature as soon as possible. We know that the companies that sell these unacceptable machines are trying to get them approved by the NY State Board of Elections. There is no time to waste! The Legislature needs to provide clear guidance to the state BOE.

Monday — Common Cause NY Patch Through Calls
For Monday’s action, we are encouraging you to participate in Common Cause’s patch though call program to key Assembly districts starting at 4:00pm!
RSVP Today: Talk to New Yorkers and Patch them through to their Assemblymember’s office from 4:00pm-6:00pm!
We will be calling New Yorkers in key areas and use a script to let them know more about the Hybrid “All in One” Voting Machine Ban bill and help them take action by patching them through directly to their Assemblymember’s office to talk to staff or leave a message in support of this bill.

On the 4th day of the Let New York Vote’s Hybrid “All in One” Voting Machine Ban Bill (A.1115c/S.309b) week of action, we need to call our lawmakers together today to voice our support!

Here’s an idea of what to say:
“Hi, my name is [NAME], and I’m calling from [TOWN/CITY]. I’m urging you to support the Hybrid "All In One" Voting Machine Ban Bill, S309B/A1115C, which will keep Hybrid "All In One” Voting machines out of our state. Taxpayer money shouldn’t be spent on these cumbersome, overly expensive machines that pose a security risk. NY voters deserve elections that are run on the most secure machines possible - which means banning these insecure machines right away. No voter should be worried that their ballot could be changed by a voting machine. Thank you for your time.”
